Who saw this one coming…?
So today I was let go from my job.
Yeah, it was within the 90 days, so my manager didn’t even need a reason to let me go; but I still think it’s a big pile of bull.
There where a few “reasons” for my termination, one being “I didn’t get along with the manager”. The thing is during my month of working at Pro-Copy, I saw two others get let go. The only difference between them and me was everyone expected those others to get the boot. Everyone I talked to today on my way out said the same thing; “Wait, what?!”
Eh, whatever. My roommate works at Publix, as do a few other people I know. I filled out an app while there today (it’s right next door to Pro-Copy in the same plaza) and my roommate said I’m more then likely get a job.
The thing is, I don’t want a normal job.
I know beggars can’t be choosers, but I’d really like to work at home again. I really do miss getting up whenever I wanted. I miss making my own hours, and I miss actually enjoying the work I was doing. Hopefully, this time next month, I’ll have a different thing to tell you guys when it comes to my “job”.
…..
Now that I don’t have a job, I’m going to be doing anything and everything I can to make sure I can print artbooks to sell at Megacon.
It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, and I’m really excited about it. I just need to make sure I can afford it, and that I’ll be able to sell them at a price that will make people look at it and go “Oh wow, I’ll buy that!” I’m still a nobody in the comicbook world and I know that. There’s no crime in hoping though, right?
I’ll have more on the artbook thing when I have a better idea of what it’ll actually constist of, and if I’m actually going to do it. I’ve uploaded two different covers and I’m still trying to decide which one I want to use. Hell, there are two sides to the book, so I’ll probably just use both.
If anyone out there would like a commission for anything, please let me know if you’re interested.
I could use the work.
